BIO
A stylistically unique Indie Pop Rock Band from day one, the members of This Big Idea! have been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union (3 years), they won over the hearts of music fans from all over Norwich and Norfolk; performing at a variety of venues, including London, making loads of public appearances, with some great support slots including "Blur" - "New Fast Automatic Daffodils" - "Streolab" etc - and all the while recording demo's.

ANDY LOWE
Vocals
Andy Lowe was with This Big Idea from the very beginning. As Vocalist they take on quite a lot of responsibility, from fine-tuning the musical arrangements and writing lyrics together with Bob - Inspired by Paul Weller amongst others!
Brian Lake
Guitar
A band wouldn't be complete without its Guitarist, and This Big Idea couldn’t have asked for a better one than the talented Brian Lake. They play an instrumental role in the success and musical progression of the band. Inspired by Mick Jones of The Clash.
BILLY KIM
Drummer
Billy Kim is truly a shining star. Crowds always love seeing them in full performance mode, and the band couldn’t be happier to have such an incredible Drummer up on stage and in the studio with them.
Andy Lowe
Vocals
Andy Lowe was with This Big Idea from the very beginning. As vocalist, taking on quite a lot of responsibility, from fine-tuning the musical arrangements and writing lyrics together with Bob - Inspired by Punk and Paul Weller amongst others!
Now a Computer Engineer and keen Photographer.
Brian Lake
Guitar
A band wouldn't be complete without its Guitarist, and "This Big Idea" couldn’t have asked for a better one than the talented Brian Lake. He played an instrumental role in the success and musical progression of the band. Inspired by Mick Jones of The Clash.
Now a Carpenter.
Bob Barrell
Bass Guitar
Bob, a true shining star. The Bass Man - Inspired by "The Damned" Was an essential member of the band - Co-writing lyrics and scribbling most of the chords and even picking up the trumpet every now and again...
Now a founding member of Punk Band The Last Guv'nors in Hong Kong
Mick Harrison
Drums
Crowds always love seeing Mick in full performance mode, and the band couldn’t be happier to have such an incredible Drummer up on stage and in the studio with them. Often couldn't resist taking his shirt off!
Now works at UEA
Rachael Smith
Backing Vocals
Fans always loved seeing Smithy dancing on stage, and the band couldn’t be happier to have such an incredible Vocalist up on stage and in the studio. Rachael left the band after our gig supporting Blur.
Now a freelance artist.
Matt Lessiter
Guitar
Matt "Lessy" Lessiter, only lasted a couple of gigs and performed on our first demo.

Stuart - Master of the Keys - Inspired by early Gary Numan, also appeared on the first demo.
